Jon,

I have suffered from GAD for years, off and on and it's always triggered when my stress level gets too high. When I watched your videos, I liked the way you dug deeper and made ME dig deeper with your talk about unresolved conflicts and control issues. Yes, when I feel overwhelmed and therefore stressed, it's because I feel like life is spinning out of control - MY control. And the unresolved issue is my inability to control things.

While I'm on the subject of your video series, I want to comment on the gratitude list exercise: I found that even more powerful for me was expressing my gratitiude to the people for whom I'm grateful, especially the people on my work crew. Of course, before I did that, I wrote them all down on my list.:-)

Anxiety attack can be lessened by learning relaxation techniques like those used in meditation. some food supplements like 5-HTP helps in easing the symptoms of anxiety attack.

I have Generalized Anxiety Disorder. Some of the things I do to help get rid of it when it comes on is do breathing techniques and it usually helps it tremendously. Thanks for posting this about anxiety. It was very helpful.
