the best part of this article is “During benzodiazepine withdrawal I COULD NOT tolerate any supplements! Even fish oil or multivitamins would make my symptoms worse. For 2-3 months I stopped taking any supplements at all, with the exception of an occasional ibuprofen for pain.

Form Family, help me. I just found out I was addicted to Ativan. I was taking for sleep. Just 1 tablet of 1mg every night. Then I went to two tabs every night. I did not know about the withdrawl. I thought I had the flu. I have been through hot and cold sweats. I headach that feels like my head is 'hallow'. I wish that would go away! Stomach Cramps that are killing me. I went to the doctor today, they gave me a GI Cot-tail. Which helped. Today is my 6th day of cold turkey. Which is stupid I might add. I guess my question is: how long does the withdrawl cramping and hallow headach stay around? I have not been to work the past 6 days. I work with the public everyday...I can not quit my job...what in the world am I to do? I am NOT turning back! Someone please tell me it gets better. My husband does not know about my issue. He just thinks I'm sick with a stomach bug. Please if you are reading this....DO NOT TAKE BENZODIAZPEHINES!!!!!!!!! RUN FROM THEM!! I feel like crap.....

Hi

I hope you won't mind my asking you a question. I know you must get tons. I would go to one of the forums but in this case we may have a very similar
situation

Five weeks ago I went cold turkey off of klonopin
0.5 mg (about 14 months). I found the Ashton material after I'd already been off for two weeks so I decided to stay on.

My question is this. You said you started cold turkey--did you keep on it the whole time or...?

At this point I don't know what to do. My sleep is horrible and I'm getting very weak--close to being unable to function. Should I just keep the cold turkey going or should I consider going on a taper at this point. I'm getting pretty weak and fear I won't be able to function if I stay on the CT.

I have to function--we have a retail store and I have no help--my wife is 2000 miles away doing summer school. Believe me if I could I'd watch daytime TV
and tough it out. But I don't think that's going to be in the cards.

Many thanks
